All of the characters, organizations, and events portrayed in this story are either products of the author’s imagination or are used fictitiously, and any resemblance to actual events, business establishments, locales, or persons, living or dead, is entirely coincidental. When the Syndicate calls to collect their debt, Omegas are given no choice but to succeed… or die trying. After finishing grad school and landing the job of my dreams, I never thought my career would run face first into a brick wall. For an omega such as myself, there is only so far I’m allowed to advance in the medical field before I’m constantly looked over for promotions in lieu of one alpha after another. Then my little brother is diagnosed with a serious illness. With his life on the line, I break the ethics promise I made when becoming a doctor and put myself straight into the Syndicate’s line of sight. And they have a job for me to do. It should be a walk in the park and unproblematic. That changes the moment I meet a newly formed pack with some familiar faces. A pack that makes me feel things I shouldn’t. A pack that just so happens to be my targets. It’s been said that a sibling bond is one not to be tested. I’m just now learning how true that is, and how far those bonds go. Especially, when it means having to betray those closest to my heart. This is a reverse harem omegaverse standalone in a shared world where the books can be read in any order. Omegaverse for Beginners: This story is NOT a paranormal romance. Omegaverse is the premise of shifter society without the actual shifting. There is a hierarchal social construct that consists of alphas who lead their packs, omegas at the center, and betas who are normal Joe’s. Don’t be surprised to find special physical attributes in the alphas, bonding marks, pheromones, mating instincts, and other animalistic traits. Happy Reading! Prologue Just when you think you've hit the lowest of lows and everything bad that could happen, has happened. Life, or maybe fate, decides to prove you wrong and throw yet another wrench into the gears you've barely managed to keep going at this point. I was eighteen and getting ready to graduate high school when my brother was born. Personally, I thought my mom was more than a little off her rocker for not only wanting another kid but having one at her age and having to start all over again. Once the shock of it wore off, I couldn't have been more excited. Growing up as an only child, I'd always wanted a brother or sister, and now I'd finally have one. My mom had some difficulties throughout the pregnancy due to her age. Toward the end, she wound up on bed rest, which didn't even help. Jackson was born four weeks premature and had to stay in the hospital for a while after birth before he was released. Unfortunately, by that time, I'd already left for college. I'd raced home as soon as I could to meet him and be with Mom for a couple days before I had to rush back. As a pre-med student, I hadn't exactly had a ton of free time. Over the years, though, Jackson grew to be healthy and strong, and I made sure I was around enough for him to know just how much his big sister loved him, coming home on holidays and not sparing any free second on anything else. We formed a sibling bond that, in my opinion, couldn't possibly be rivaled. Of course, Mom and Dad soaked up every single loving second of our family time. Then, not long after he turned eight, my brother fainted right in the middle of his school's cafeteria. I'd just started my residency and couldn't take leave. It took another year, and more collapses, for his doctors to diagnose him with idiopathic cardiomyopathy, or an enlarged heart. The news hit my parents hard. More doctor visits and hospital stays meant more medical bills, which led to stress and fighting. Only a few months later, Dad decided his secretary meant more to him than his family did. I still like to hope that the stress is what got to him and not that there had been stuff going on for way longer than any of us realized, even if I hate him and probably won't ever forgive him for it. He started this new life as Jackson's condition got worse, sticking Mom with all the medical bills. One of the worst feelings is watching someone you love most in this world slowly get worse while you've got the wisdom of knowing there's a way to make them better. Turns out, that sibling
