Silver Escape 1. Needing a break from the ‘above ground,’ I disrobe, dash across my backyard butt naked, and dive from my hidden pier... down, down, down to Lake Washington far below. I’ve learned over the decades that freedom is one of those concepts where the meaning varies considerably in the eye of the observer. These days, teenagers think ‘freedom’ means not having to be in the house by ten at night. Or college students being able to stay out as late as they want.
