I can’t believe she’s missing. I was just with Dena. We had a nice night. I avoided her kiss, but besides that, I still saw her as a friend. As worried as I am, I stand outside my dorm with my arms around me, surrounded by white noise. I’m having a hard time concentrating, mostly because I’m trying to figure out what the hell happened with Lyra. One moment, we were lost in a wave of orgasmic bliss, and the next, she’s as cold as ice. Ugh, those few moments are going to haunt me. The sounds she made, the way she tasted… all of it. Did you see her today?” I take a deep breath in; my hands are trembling because I honestly really do like Dena as a friend, and now that I’m not thinking about the pseudo sex I had with my step-sister, things are finally hitting me. “We’re friends and in the theater club together. I saw her earlier today, and she seemed fine when she went to get ice cream with Marsha at the cafe,” I tell him, which is the truth. I don’t feel like he needs to know we went on a lukewarm date. That’s just too much information for a stranger. Officer Lancaster nods, frowning. “Thank you, we’re doing everything we can to find her. If I have any other questions, we’ll contact you.
