For all the smut loving ladies who want to be called a Good Girl… No matter how nice the day or how bright the sunshine is, there are always parts of the world where the light doesn’t reach. The shadows and dark always win out somewhere. Lying on the ground in one of those dark places, all I wished for was just a little sunlight to come through. Just one more moment of feeling the sunshine on my skin. The soothing feel of it that’s almost like a gentle caress. A sense of warmth that gradually spreads over your body. Because at that moment I felt so very cold. I had never before felt a cold quite like what I was feeling at that very moment. It’s amazing how much color gets leached out of the world when the shadows creep in. But I could still make out the color that coated my hands even in the shadows. Red. Not just any red. Blood red, because that is exactly what it was. The pain that had initially radiated from my chest had disappeared, but so had most other feelings. Numbness was taking over my soul. Damn, why could the sunshine not reappear just for a minute? I just wanted a little fucking sunshine right now. Was that so much to ask for? Instead, the shadows were getting darker. Was night coming quicker now? I swear it had only been morning a moment ago. Maybe I should just get some sleep? But it’s so goddamn cold. It feels like ice against my skin. There was something I needed to remember. Or was it someone? Someone I saw today. Or was it that I was meant to see them? My mind is so fuzzy. I rack my mind trying to remember what I was meant to be doing today. I don’t think I was meant to be sleeping. What was I doing? Oh, that’s right, I was taking out the rubbish from the restaurant. I had the breakfast shift, not the dinner shift. Why was I still here with the night closing in? Wait, why was there blood on my hands?? I tried to lift them to look at them again, but they suddenly weighed so much. When had my arms felt so heavy before? Maybe I will have a sleep after all. It was so very dark.
