And while that means they do and say things no “normal” person would, in their world it is normal. I hope you’ll trust me to tell this story the way it needs to be told. Fucking Christmas music, of all things, plays overhead. The room I’m in is freezing, and I’m wearing nothing but a thin pair of boxers. I want to struggle, want to scream and demand someone untie me, but not only is it pointless, I know I deserve this. I don’t know how much time passes. The music overhead begins to run together, and the room gets colder. I flex my toes on the concrete floor, they’re stiff and ache with every movement, but at least they still move. I try to stretch my fingers but it causes the rope to scrape against my skin, and seems to pull tighter the more I fight against them. Fucker, I taught him how to tie these types of knots. I don’t struggle too much, I need to conserve energy for whatever comes next. My heart pounds so hard I can almost hear it over the fucking music. Suddenly, the music cuts off, and the single light hanging over me goes out. I try to keep my breathing steady, but rational thought isn’t possible when you’re on this side of things. In fact, knowing what could be about to happen might make it worse. I know all the tricks. Hell, I created some of the fuckery that goes on in these situations. Ignorance really is bliss when it comes to your own torture and subsequent death. Because there’s no way I’m getting out of this alive. Not after everything I’ve done… Bang!
