To everyone that yearns for love & monsters. A Note from Allie I’m about to bare my soul a bit here, but I’ve always had this obsession with the endearment ‘lass’, which I’m positive stemmed from the copious historical romance novels I devoured growing up. There’s just something so . . . mouthwatering about it. That was a roundabout way to say that I really wanted to write a Hero that used the term and so, I introduce Banished Mates. I hope you enjoy this novel of monsters, love, and smut as much as I loved writing it. All right then, I’m off to watch Outlander or Made of Honor lol. Content Warnings BANISHED MATES is a Why Choose Omega Wolf-shifter standalone novel. There is primal play, heats, nesting, ruts, purring, and knotting. There is shifted sex, *cough* she bangs the monster on the cover. There is no cheating and a happily ever after is guaranteed. The heroine was in a situation when she was younger, and it caused vocal cord damage to the point where she cannot speak. She uses American Sign Language and writing to communicate. Some of the novel is set in Scotland. I utilize words that are not the proper spelling but are written how they sound. Words used: Tae = to, nae = not, Aye = yes The term “lass” is used. Murder and death on page. Abuse and kidnapping on page (no abuse from main male characters). Attempted rape of the heroine. The novel is set in a fictional world. But I never expected my best friend to accept another mate. I could stop their mating by showing him I wasn’t weak, I was an Omega… except my kind was thought to be extinct. The truth would put him in danger, so the only choice was to deny that side of myself. Then Omega hunters found me. After months of abuse, I had to save myself and shift—only to discover I had two mates, Kit and Rowan. Growly, gruff, and possessive, the twins showed me the tenderness I craved… then Camden re-appeared. But I had bigger things to worry about, someone was still out to get me and I didn’t know who or where my enemies were. I needed to leave my mates before I caused them harm... even if the price I paid to keep them safe was my life. Contents 1. Willow 2. Willow 3. Willow 4. Camden 5. Willow 6. Willow 7. Willow 8. Acknowledgments About the Author Willow It took me about two-point-five minutes to track Camden down, much longer than usual. He was in the spot I’d never thought he’d be without me. Especially with a she-wolf. My heart pounded in my ears, and unfortunately, it wasn’t loud enough to drown out Meridith’s voice. I wet my lower lip with my tongue. I was well into my midtwenties and was still behaving like a skulking pup, padding after my best friend. But . . . I would do anything for Camden. If I had to save him from her, then so be it—it wasn’t like I hadn’t gotten into fights over him before. I just never thought he’d take her to our spot. Peeking around the large pine tree, I had to keep him from seeing me. We’d argue . . . just as we’d increasingly argued this past month. I didn’t know what was with him, but his short temper was frustrating the shit out of me. Even so, as soon as I’d heard he was on a potential mating date, I’d come running. He’d be angry if he caught me, but I couldn’t sit and twiddle my thumbs while Camden was snatched right from under my nose. Yeah, maybe it was selfish, but not just anyone could have Camden. He was special. He deserved the best possible. She inched closer, bringing my attention back to the pair as she invaded his space. I narrowed my eyes, my stomach coiling in knots. “Let’s go elsewhere,” Camden said, an aggression in his tone. Meridith’s eyes lowered and a slight frown on her face. By the dent between her eyebrows, the lowered shoulders and gaze, Camden must have used the full force of his Alpha wolf behind his order. He shouldn’t even be wasting his time on her. I scowled, molars grinding. Camden rubbed the back of his neck and then stretched his head to the side. My attention stuck on the vein throbbing near the base of his throat. “Why do we have to—” “Now,” he said, patience running thin. Meridith flinched and sucked in a breath. Good. He must know
