Den of Discovery Blurb Watching over Egan has become Casper’s obsession. From the first moment Egan entered The Den, Casper felt his soul calling to him. But after a lifetime of being rejected and feared, Casper can't bring himself to step out of the shadows and claim what's his. Egan knows he’s being followed, his every move watched by someone hiding in the shadows. Instead of fearing the unknown man, he feels excited and wanted. It’s not until Egan is attacked by a group of men set on killing him that his shadow finally reveals himself. Will Casper and Egan get the time they need to bond or will the constant threat against Egan’s life stop them before they even get started? Den of Discovery is a Gay Paranormal Romance and is book 3 in The Den series which will follow a new couple in every book. It can be read as a standalone though characters will make appearances in other books, so they are better read in order. It contains explicit content, graphic language and situations some readers may find uncomfortable. For a more detailed description please check the content guide inside the novel. I can feel him just out of sight, tracking my every move. The tug in my chest lets me know exactly where he is. Smothering a smile, I move through the crowded dance floor, brushing against a tall, pale vampire. I hear a soft growl from the shadows, barely audible over the pounding music, as the vampire’s hands grip my bare hips and pull my body into his. The lime green cropped shirt and low-slung black pants I wear expose my stomach. The vampire’s hands are cold on my overheated skin, and I repress a shudder as his sharp nails skim along my waist band seductively. The shadows along the wall seem to pulse as the vampire leans down, putting his lips dangerously close to the pulse in my neck. “Hello, pretty boy,” the vampire purrs, his breath tickling my ear, making my blue curls brush along my cheek and neck. “Are you looking to have a good time tonight?” Drake, my dragon, rumbles in my head, disgusted by the vampire's overly familiar touch, but I push him back, enjoying taunting and teasing the shadow. “Maybe,” I say back, making my voice sultry as I turn in his arms. The vampire lets out a startled cry a second before his legs fly out from under him, and he faceplants on the club floor, sticky with spilled drinks and possibly pee from a few of the drunker patrons. A manic giggle slips free as I skip away from the vampire and head toward the bar. Since I started coming here about a month ago, I haven’t been able to catch a glimpse of the person watching me, but each night, without fail, I feel his eyes, a pull in my chest signaling his presence even before I notice his shadow. I hope he decides to make an appearance before I have to leave the city so we can at least have one good fuck. I was afraid the first time I felt him, worried Reaves had found me despite only having been in the city for a few weeks. I couldn’t see or smell my new shadow stalker. Even half-shifted, I wasn’t able to break through whatever he was using to shield himself from me, but I never got a bad vibe from him. Deciding he wasn’t a threat, I started finding the constant attention entertaining and surprisingly nice. It’s been so long since anyone’s cared enough about me to watch me so intensely. It makes me feel wanted and special, even though I know it should creep me out. Drake doesn’t find it nearly as amusing. Instead, he grumbles and complains that the man is too afraid to approach us. To him, that means he isn’t a good match for us. Drake insists I need someone strong, bold, and protective. Not a coward who slinks around in the shadows, never making a move. The shadow trails after me, teasing me with his presence. “Why does he hide from us?” Drake rasps, his irritation clear. “I don’t know. Maybe he thinks I’m a threat that needs to be monitored,” I say, and Drake has the audacity to laugh. “You?! A threat?! If he thinks that, he’s even more of an idiot than I thought.” I huff, my face pinching, and I fold my arms over my chest, plopping into a stool at the end of the bar.
