PAIGE EPILOGUE - PAIGE Accidental Baby for the Billionaire Sneak Peek PROLOGUE - AVA AVA 1 PAIGE“Oh my God!” Ava cried out, pushing through the crowds in the terminal to wrap her arms around me. “I can’t believe you’re finally here!” She looked at me with sparkling eyes as she held me at arm’s length. “It’s been way too long,” I said and hugged her again. “I’m still mad at you for moving, by the way.”Ava laughed and shook her head, her shoulder-length dark hair swaying. “Yeah, you keep telling me that.”Noah appeared with Warner on his hip.“Hey, Paige,” he said and hugged me with his free arm. I pinched Warner’s cheeks.“Look how big you’re getting! What are they feeding you?”Warner giggled and kicked his legs so that Noah would put him down, but Noah held tight.“Don’t put him down,” Ava said gravely.“I got him,” Noah agreed and offered to take my rolling suitcase with his free hand.“Seriously,” Ava said, shaking her head. “He’s at that age where he just runs, and he’s so small and so quick, there’s no way I can follow through the crowds.”I laughed. “He’s adorable.”We walked through LAX to the parking area, where Ava took Warner to strap him into his car seat while Noah wrestled my bags into the car.It had been six months since Noah and Ava had moved to LA. They’d decided to break away from Solomon, Forger, and Riggs, and Noah had come here to open his own law firm instead. The Cavaliers’ legacy and the pressure on the families to conform and follow in their fathers’ footsteps wasn’t something they wanted Warner to suffer under.“Do you miss home?” I asked Ava when we got into the sleek black car Noah drove.“I don’t miss Seattle,” Ava admitted. “The weather here is incredible, we barely have any rain. Can you believe it?”I giggled and shook my head. In Seattle, rain was a given.“I miss the convenience of knowing where everything is, though. I’m getting better now, knowing where a couple of things are, but it’s going to take time to really settle. Of course, I miss the people too.”I nodded. Video calls and the internet made the world a very small place, but being able to contact each other all the time was a poor substitute for seeing each other in person, and I’d missed my best friend so much.“You made friends here, though, right?”“Oh, yeah,” Ava said, and Noah nodded, too. “It always helps to have some connections. Barney, the guy who helped Noah with a couple of litigations, introduced him to Parker Conrad.”“Oh my God, really?”“Yeah, didn’t I tell you that?”“I’m sure I would have remembered.”“Yeah, I think I forgot to add that. Sorry.”This was exactly why our long-distance friendship drove me crazy. We talked all the time, but some of the big stuff fell through the cracks, and I was crazy curious.“I feel like I’m missing out on all the good stuff!” I said tucking a strand of my light-brown hair behind one ear. “I wish I could be a part of it all.”Ava shot me an apologetic look, but I couldn’t hold it against her. Since they’d moved to LA, it had been stressful to get everything going again. There was big demand on Noah to make his mark as a new lawyer in town, but being away from all the pressure at home was doing them both good. I could see how much happier they were, despite the stress they were under.“There’s a huge amount of gossip I can tell you,” Ava said and twisted in her seat to look at me where I was sitting next to Warner’s car seat. “Seriously, you’ll die when you find out.”I laughed. “Okay, shoot.”“So, one of Parker Conrad’s friends is Gavin Austin.”She offered me a pointed look.“Who?” I asked.Ava’s jaw dropped. “Do you follow celebrity news at all?”I burst out laughing. “You know me, Ava. I don’t waste my time with stuff like that.”Ava groaned. “Yeah, yeah, okay. So, Gavin Austin is this hotshot in the business world, built his company from scratch, made a name for himself, all that. He’s also drop-dead gorgeous.”Noah glanced at Ava. She put her hand on his leg and smiled sweetly at him.“Never hotter than you, babe.”Noah grinned, and I laughed again. Ava and Noah were so good together.“Anyway, he’s been dating Tara Logan for the past three years.”She looked at me expectantly again. I shook my head slowly, and Ava sighed heavily.“Yeah, I hoped you’d know that one, at least. She’s the one who’s been on all those dating shows, the reality star.”“Oh, I think I’ve heard the name.”“Right. So, she’s really popular, and everyone thinks she’s so great, but behind closed doors, she’s a total…” Ava glanced at Warner before she mouthed the word bitch to me so that she kept it PG.I giggled. “Really? Are those Gavin’s words, or…”“No, personal experience,” Ava said.“She’s sort of right,” Noah chimed in.I rounded my mouth in an O of surprise. If Noah was weighing in on her level of bitch, it had to be serious. Noah was the least dramatic man I’d ever met—he didn’t only avoid it, he ran in the opposite direction.“They broke up recently,” Ava said. “She’s acting like the
