Cover by Mibl Arts Dedication This book was a labor of love and wouldn’t have been possible without those that helped support and encourage me throughout. To my editor Michelle, you always find the strangest errors I make when I’m far too tired to be working. Your support and focus is more than appreciated. Thank you so much for staying with me for this crazy journey. A special thank you to Tori, she took down multiple plot holes and character issues before it even made it to Michelle. She’s an incredible beta-reader and this book would have been a little worse without her. Andrea, my chubby dragon, you’ve been a pillar of support from the beginning. When it looked like I was about to be swept into the fires of hatred, you helped rescue me and inspire me to keep going. Kristen and Raven, you are my Vella Queens, and your support and cheering helped me reach the finish line. Mai and Heather, you have no idea how much I appreciate your check ins, and constant support. A special thank you to Robyn, she’s been with me since the start, and I truly believe she’ll be with me until the end. I’m hoping to announce the release of her book soon so I can help cheer her on Thank you to all of my friends and fans for loving our Alpha Gods, and I hope you enjoy getting to know them better. And because I don’t want to be sat on, to my beloved sister, who probably won’t read this book because the ‘good stuff’ doesn’t come until a later book. She’s supported me since the start, and it’s still crazy cool that I can talk to her for hours about the worlds I’ve created. Thank you so much, I love you. And thank you hubby, for letting me use your name for my asshole, it fits him well. Warning: The Silverton wolves themselves have abusive backgrounds, both physical and mental, and it might be something hard to read through. If this is something that will bother you, turn back now. My Decision About Maria Warren Chapter 1 Broken Trust I’d finally gotten what I wanted, to be left alone, and all I could do was worry about the two men that I had kicked out. I didn’t know what I should do to try to fix the situation and Barb, my wolf, wasn’t any help. Should I run after them and try to stop the impending fight, one that seemed to involve me? Or would it be better just to keep my door closed and wait this strangeness out? I hated to admit it, hated it more than I hated every other moment I’d spent in this school so far, but I was worried about Julian. Just thinking that almost made me break out in hives. How could I worry about that fucking asshole? After everything he’d done to me, I should be relieved. But I wasn’t. He was sick, and I wanted to take care of him. I’m not sure if it was some sort of mothering instinct or if maybe I had snapped while serving him, but I couldn’t fight it. I took a step to the door, fingers reaching for the handle. If I left, I’d have to confront Elijah too. The thought left me chilled. I still couldn’t get over the glint in his eye or the pain of having to submit to his Alpha aura. Stepping backward, I retreated from the door. There was no way I was about to throw myself between feuding Alpha Gods. It wouldn’t be worth it. I returned to my room and plopped down on my bed. My controller waited for me like a shining beacon, tempting me to forget about everything and slip into the World of Clevania. I didn’t have to worry about things like this craziness there. Maybe I’d even run into Rusty with my new character and tease him for a bit. I smiled at the thought before faintly frowning. Wait, if he saw me as a healer, he’d try to make me follow him around everywhere and be his personal healing servant and keep his health topped up. Sighing, I stared down at my trembling fingers. I had to go after them, no matter how much the thought of facing Elijah made me want to hide under the bed. Why did I want to do this? It was stupid of me, insane. I hated one of them, and the other terrified me, yet here I was, ready to go save the day in some warped way. I got to
