Alex stood before me, his pale skin and dark hair giving him an almost otherworldly presence. As I carefully inserted the needle into his arm, I felt a thrill knowing that this one simple act could change everything. "Does it hurt?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper. "Oh darling," Alex said, his voice low and alluring. "Do you truly believe that a small prick such as this could harm me?" He smirked at his own jest. I felt my cheeks flush at his words, and I quickly looked away. I had never had a man affect me like this before, not even my fiancé, Daniel. I watched as the syringe emptied into Alex's arm, and he closed his eyes in concentration. I could see the vein in his muscle pulsing. After a few moments, Alex opened his eyes again and looked at me with a mixture of awe and excitement. "Is it working?" he whispered, his breath hot against my ear. “I don’t know yet, we’ll have to hook you up to the machine like last time,” I said and brushed my long brown hair back behind my ear. “Did you have any negative side effects in the last few rounds?” "Yes, I did experience some weakness and dizziness," he said, his expression turning somber. "But it's worth it to come here and see you again." He locked eyes with me and I was drawn in by his piercing emerald gaze. "Ahem," Daniel said, stepping between us. "My beautiful and intelligent fiancé has been working on this for years. Do you not feel anything?" He looked Alex up and down, his eyes filled with jealousy. I felt a surge of pride at Daniel's words, but it was quickly overshadowed by the intensity of Alex's gaze. "No, nothing yet," Alex said, standing up from the bench and rolling down his sleeve to cover his old tattoos, ancient symbols that looked almost Viking in nature. "Do I just, place my arm into this contraption again?" "Well, it should-" Daniel started, but was interrupted by me. “The serum should take effect immediately, though it will only last about an hour. My ultimate goal is for it to last for a full 24 hours.” As I spoke, I grabbed Daniel by the arm and pulled him away from Alex, sensing that Daniel was starting to feel territorial. "Very well," said Alex, his beautiful emerald green eyes examining the machine in front of him. It was a tube-like device that measured strength by squeezing the arm. "I shall place my arm here and trust that you will not inflict too much harm upon me." He winked at me as he spoke, causing my cheeks to flush. I tapped the buttons on the screen, trying to hide my smile. "These numbers are incredible," said Daniel, looking at the screen and then at me. "Samantha, I think this is it." He hugged me in a loving embrace and kissed me on the forehead. "You're a genius." I couldn't keep my eyes off Alex, even with Daniel in the room. His shirt was slightly lifted, revealing those rippling abs that I couldn't stop thinking about. I shook my head, trying to clear my thoughts and focused on Daniel. "We did it," I reminded him. "We've been working towards this for years. I love you." I leaned in to kiss him, but my mind kept drifting back to Alex. I walked over to him and turned off the machine, trying to ignore the way my heart raced as I touched him. "Thank you, Alex," I said, trying to keep my voice steady. "Same time next week?" He looked at me, his gaze intense and full of desire. "Looking forward to it, Samantha," he said, the sound of my name on his lips sending shivers down my spine. I watched as he left the room, my body aching for him. I knew I was in trouble, but I couldn't resist the raw strength and sex appeal that Alex exuded. Dan shook his head, a look of frustration on his face. "Ugh, why did we have to go with him?" he said., Dan was the picture of frustration as he stood there, with blonde hair and bright blue eyes, arms crossed over his chest.
