Cover designed by Q Designs Dear Readers, Welcome to the Special Forces: Operation Alpha Fan-Fiction world! If you are new to this amazing world, in a nutshell the author wrote a story using one or more of my characters in it. Sometimes that character has a major role in the story, and other times they are only mentioned briefly. This is perfectly legal and allowable because they are going through Aces Press to publish the story. This book is entirely the work of the author who wrote it. While I might have assisted with brainstorming and other ideas about which of my characters to use, I didn’t have any part in the process or writing or editing the story. I’m proud and excited that so many authors loved my characters enough that they wanted to write them into their own story. Thank you for supporting them, and me! READ ON! Xoxo Susan Stoker ABOUT THE BOOK Falling in love has no place in a mission of revenge. Abducted as a baby, Ivory Smith was trained to be one thing; a killer. Rescued before she could fulfil her captor's purposes now she works for Prey Security's Artemis Team taking down human traffickers. What should be a typical undercover mission becomes anything but when not only does she meet a man who intrigues her but she comes face to face with her abuser. Former Delta Force operator turned DEA Agent Roman Morales lives for one thing; revenge. Growing up surrounded by addiction he's determined not to fall down the same hole, which means keeping everyone at a distance. Until he meets a beautiful, brave woman determined to help him get the revenge he craves, he just doesn't think he has anything to offer her in return. I’d like to thank everyone who played a part in bringing this story to life. Particularly my mom who is always there to share her thoughts and opinions with me. The wonderful Amy Queau of Q Designs who made the stunning cover. And my lovely editor Lisa Edwards for all her encouragement and for all the hard work she puts into polishing my work. CHAPTER ONE December 24th 7:19 P.M. What a great way to spend Christmas Eve. Insert a heavy dose of sarcasm right here. Ivory Smith did her best to ignore the metal cuffs circling her wrists. The man who’d put them on her had made sure they were tight, and she could already feel blood smearing her skin from where the rusty metal was cutting in. Not that anybody here cared that she was bleeding. Here she was nothing but a piece of meat. One to be sold to the highest bidder. She had no rights and no control over what happened to her. The future was always uncertain. One second in time could change everything. That was what had happened to her. Now she was here, chained to a brick wall which was cold and rough against her bare skin, her arms secured above her head. They’d long since gone numb, and she was stretched until her five-foot-one frame was pulled tight. Her muscles had well passed the stage of cramping, the best she could do to relieve the strain was to balance on her tiptoes every now and then to try to relax out her legs. It wasn’t the awkward and painful position that had her stomach swirling and her pulse racing, it was what was coming next. Shoved into the back of a van, a bag had been thrown over her head before something was slammed into the side of her temple, knocking her unconscious. Young woman, walking alone at night, kidnapped, she knew what was going on. These men weren’t your average kidnappers, they were human traffickers. When she’d woken up, she’d been thrown over a giant of a man’s shoulder and carried from the van into an old-looking house. The man had brought her into this room which seemed to be some sort of showroom. She had been placed on a small stadium, about two feet off the flagstone floor, then chained to the wall. Ivory knew why she was on show. A buyer, or multiple buyers, would soon be arriving to browse the wares. She was the wares. Well, not just her, there was another woman who appeared to be about her age, early twenties, and then there were six young girls, no older than nine or ten, also naked and chained to the wall. Anger burned so brightly inside her she almost believed it was possible to spontaneously burst into flames. How could someone do something so sick as to buy and sell little girls? Was there anything more
