We know you might feel a little stabby after that last cliffy but buckle up, buttercup, because this final book’s a doozy. We promise everyone gets what they deserve–happily-ever-afters and burn-forever-afters all around–so hopefully, you won't hate us once you reach THE END. Grab some tissues just in case you get dust in your eyes, have a spare pair of panties waiting in the wings, and let's refresh your memory so you can dive right in. In book one: Shadow Slayer Greer, an accomplished and badass slayer, ends up accidentally straddling a charming bear-shifter who happens to love flannel. As soon as the Dane catches her scent, he knows she's meant to be his mate and decides that the best way to make sure she becomes his is by stalking her into love (it works). Greer has done close to everything she can to earn her parents' approval, but she's constantly met with their rejection. Her entire world is turned upside down when her parents arrange for her to be married to Valen, an equally accomplished slayer from the UK. Much to her dismay, she's partnered with Valen, and they end up saving each other from a new, strange creature. They take their concerns to Greer's mother, Bianca, but Bianca refuses to listen. Greer and Valen take it upon themselves to investigate what these creatures are and how to kill them when regular swords and slayer fire seem to do no good. In the meantime, Dane, the adorable stalker bear, provides a fun (there was sex) distraction for Greer and forces Valen to take a step back and realize he can't just expect Greer to go along with the marriage. More of the nightmarish creatures start appearing, and with them, a strangely murderous fae who takes a liking to Greer. Greer tries to stop him, but his LARPer-esque clothing makes it impossible for her to catch him, and he gets away. Greer manages to snag a dagger from the fae and uses it to injure the first nightmare. Silver, as it turns out, will kill a nightmare. Greer and Valen grow closer as they work together to slay these new demons. Mutual respect and bonding over shitty parents lead to something suspiciously like attraction. Greer, Dane, and Valen decide they should work together after tragedy hits the local wolf pack. They race to save the wolves, but not everyone makes it out alive. After the attack, they go to see a trusted witch named Tisha, who tells them the worst is yet to come but gives them insight into who might be causing all this chaos. Enter Rippley, a chaotic witch whose idea of a good time is sending bunnies to hell. Rippley has been trying–and epically failing, mind you–to hex her cheating ex-boyfriend. When Greer and company knock on her door and discover the bunny situation, Rippley makes a break for it. She doesn't get far, though. Bastian–the aforementioned murderous fae–appears and tells everyone that the creatures are actually from Faerie and that Rippley tore the fabric between the realms. The slayer gang goes to where Rippley first tried to hex her ex in hopes of repairing the damage she accidentally wrought, but while they're there, nightmares attack. Book one ends with Bastian seemingly betraying Greer, opening a massive doorway into Faerie, then disappearing as nightmares pour into Earth, leaving our beloved characters in peril. In book two: Twilight Terrors The story picks up right where the first ended. The slayer gang battles a gaggle of nightmares, using their newly acquired silver weapons to kill more than a few. They battle Bastian, but he hurls them out of Faerie with a blast of his shadow magic. Greer is heartbroken. Rippley uses her power to fight the look alike, but in a turn of events, he binds her magic. With the group vulnerable and hurt, they have no choice but to return to Portland and see Tisha, only the witch isn't home. Rippley is distraught and asks to be taken home. Greer, Dane, and Valen head back to Greer's apartment to lick their wounds. A nightmare invades Greer's mind in the middle of the night, and she accidentally burns the sheet covering the bed. The guys try to calm her down, but Greer feels vulnerable. How can she fight monsters if they're in her head? Greer's momster, Bianca, plans an engagement party for Greer and Valen and texts Greer to remind her of her duties. Even though Valen and Greer would rather die than go to the dinner, they know Bianca and Victor Valmont will make their lives hell if they don't. The couple goes to the dinner. Greer's mom greets her with a few insults, and as the guests arrive, Greer gets anxious. Valen senses her dismay and hatches an
