Nowhere near. I do, however, believe the world is full of good and evil. I also believe that you should never put your trust in one person, one entity or one high power. My brothers and I don’t trust anyone except each other. We don’t rely on anyone outside the four of us. The way I see it, God fucked us over, broke us, ripped us apart, limb by limb, and threw us into the fire they call the pits of hell. We thought there was no coming back from the torturous hell we lived in; but Satan himself took us in and showed us the evil we could do, he took our pieces and put us back together. We might not be whole, but he showed us the way to roam the streets at night without being seen, how to bring fear to those who torture the innocent, because it’s what we do. It’s what we were brought up to do. Like tonight, I kneel in front of a man, watching him take his last breath because I slit his throat. I tilt my head a little, watching the blood pouring out of him, hearing him choking for air, his hands out trying to grab my jacket. “Ple...pleas...” The words unable to escape, as he chokes on his own blood. He can beg, but no one will be helping him. People like him, be it men or women, they don’t deserve help; they deserve a long and painful death. They think they can harm a little innocent child and get away with it, well they’re wrong. My brothers and I drift through the nights, waiting until the time is right to kill anyone who does wrong, the law might not do anything, but our law is different. Our law won’t hear you out, won’t even let you talk, the penalty for breaking our law is death. No one ever hears us coming, we move in the darkness like shadows. Darkness is where we were raised, we crave the dark nights, it’s become our home. “End him,” Nitro snaps at me. Nyx made his own rules for us when we come out to play with the horrendous people we meet in the darkness. He told us they’re non-negotiable, and I fucking love each one of them. The first one is one of the most important; never, and I mean never, say our names out loud. No one is to know who we are. The second rule is, we always wear a voice box. We need to hide our voices; they can never be recognized. This rule was hard at first, a voice changer is a big bulky box, and it messed up a lot. So, in the end Nyx and Nitro made their own design. Something small enough to sew into our masks and bandanas, and it’s a brilliant way for us to still be able to do everything without the bulky box in the way. With the rest of our look, it upped the fucking crazy, and I crave crazy. “Fuck you,” my voice
