I’ll fucking kill her for everything that she’s done! My hands refused to move, glued to her throat. The color began to drain from this bitch’s eyes, but that didn’t stop me. I had to get rid of her, once and for all. “I’m going to kill you! Ruin you just like how you ruined my goddamn life, and ruined this club, everything I’ve worked for and—” The punch hit me square in the face. I fell back, letting go of her neck. I heard the sound of coughing. I got up, looking for the bastard that hit me. Which one of the brothers had the audacity to do this type of shit? I looked around, and there was Gears in my face. “Stax, cool it, you really want blood on your hands?” “She fucking ruined us, Gears! I don’t need you stepping in for my battles. Appreciate it, but I’m the leader here!” I said, reaching out to punch Gears. He dodged out of the way, pushing me down. He pressed a foot to my shoulder. “Apprehend his legs, Fingers,” Gears said. I struggled, but then, the weight became too much. There was no way in fucking hell I was going to get out of this one. I finally relaxed, and Gears looked over at Fingers, who got off of me. Gears looked at me, and then at Pipe, who helped the woman up. “What the hell are you doing?” I barked. “She’s the enemy! We could’ve made a dent and gotten away with it—” “Stax. Listen to yourself, dude,” Fingers said. “I get that you’re upset. I totally do, but this isn’t the way. You’ve got to control yourself.” “Are you thinking about the bigger picture or not?” Gears asked. “With all due respect, Stax, if you kill her now, you’re going to miss out on all of the valuable information she has. Think about it, she’s the one responsible for hurting you, but if you do kill her, we’ll never find out the information we need on Jacinto so we can take him down.” In a way, Gears was right. I looked over at Pipe, one of the newbies. Even though I knew it’d been a long time since I’d been here, it felt like I was back with the boys. “Perhaps you’re right.” “I know that I’m right, Stax. You’ve been a strong leader. You should take it easy, and also listen to us. We’ve helped keep this show going since you were gone,” he said. He helped me up, and there was Fierce. “Stax, I’m sorry about everything. I didn’t know you were in jail for so long. The bail was really high and—” I touched Fierce’ s shoulder, looking him dead in the eye. The man had hardened since I last saw him. he wasn’t the same guy that I put in charge at the beginning of this fuckery. “You did great, Fierce. Thank you,” I told him. Fierce didn’t say a word, but then nodded. “We have to handle this mess with Jacinto, and fast. I didn’t want to sell meth, but it was the only choice we had. And well, it seems Jacinto was more than just some meth lord who sent a bunch of groups after us. He was a lot shittier than that.” “Yeah. I don’t like that woman. I know she was with Jacinto for a while. We have to keep an eye on her. Have the guys put her in the bar area. I need to ask her some questions. Questions that are better answered by myself,” I told him. Fierce nodded. “Can do, sir. But if you need anything, just holler for me.” “Thanks. I should be fine,” I said. I knew she was the ex-wife of Jacinto, a woman who was married to him for a long time. When she became an ex, fuck if I know, but I knew it was her. It had to be the bitch that put me up, that ruined everything, that accused me something I didn’t fucking do. Just thinking about it made me want to lash out. I couldn’t do that, though. I had to play my cards right, and make sure everything was rightfully in place. I walked over to the bar. Fierce and Pipe already had her bound on the chair. There she is. She was beautiful, I’ll give her that. Dark skin, beautiful dark blue eyes, the slightest hint of curves. It was just so beautiful, that it made me wonder just how in the world I got this lucky to have a woman I absolutely hate right here, ready to question and find out why the hell she did what she did. I walked on over, seeing the guys there. I motioned for them to get out. I looked her dead in the eyes. Not an ounce of fear. She wasn’t like the rest of them. She had no fear, but instead looked at me the same way. I stared, and for a long time, I didn’t say anything. “So you’re the leader,” she said, the little bit of drawl in her voice immediately
