There are some parts that are on screen. Read at your own risk. 1 Sal Even with all the alcohol in my system from the bar, I knew there was a vampire following me, but he didn’t know I was more dangerous than he would ever be. Ashbourne wasn’t known for its incredible amount of safety. It was more commonly known for the number of its bars and taverns. I know walking home after the bar a bit drunk was stupid, but I did it anyway. There was nothing better to do in this town besides steal, murder, and drink; I chose the latter. All night, the same eyes I felt in the club followed me home, burning themselves into the back of my head. I couldn’t tell if it was the “I’m hungry, and the dress on your body makes you look like tonight’s dessert” stare or the “I’m hungry, and you’re tonight’s dessert.” Reaching up, my finger brushed my forehead, feeling the world around me spin. I wasn’t in the mood to deal with this. Not like this. Fighting would ruin the buzz I had going on. After a few streets and further away from the bar, I finally moved into an alleyway, sipping the beer in my hand. Behind me, glass pressed into the ground with a sharp noise. Slowly, I glanced over my shoulder, seeing a hooded shadow figure. Bitches. They never show their face. “Need a drink, friend?” I teased and slurred. “Actually, I would love one,” his voice rumbled heavily as his ringer fingers pulled down his hood. Some of his jet-black hair fell from the low ponytail, framing his beautiful square jaw and perfectly chiseled high cheekbones. Heat rushed through me as his eyes darkened when they racked over me. “Damn… Couldn’t you just be ugly?” I blurted. He cocked one of his well-groomed yet bushy brows. “It’s easier to kill a vampire when they are ugly.” He smirked a bit, eying me up and down. “You don’t look half bad yourself, hunter.” “Half bad? I’m a snack to you.” I pointed at him. “No, scratch that. I’m a meal for you, vampire!” A scoff escaped me. I pushed up my dress. His dark eyes followed the exposed skin as I pulled a beautiful silver carved dagger from the belt on my thigh. “And I’m not a hunter, but I have killed a few vampires.” He tsked. “Want a cookie? They aren’t hard to kill.” Scoffing, I swung my knife at him. He grabbed my wrist, pushing me against the brick wall. I threw my blade up in the air, and the moment his eyes followed it, I pushed him back. With a quick twist, I jumped up, kicking him back against the brick wall. My hand caught my knife, pushing it up against his neck before he could move. “At least let me have a drink first before you come onto me,” he said with a smirk, dark eyes dropping over my body. My knife was close to his pulse, but my breasts were pressed against his chest, and our hips were pressed into each other. And he was hard. “Do you always get hard when you’re about to get killed?” I teased, shifting to stop thinking about his third leg against my hip. He chuckled. “This is a first for me, Ms.…” “I’m not telling you my name, vampire,” I snapped, pushing my blade into his throat more. “You won’t need it when I kill you.” “Unfortunately, hunter, I can’t be killed with that mere weapon.” Reaching up, he pushed the knife deeper into his skin. Blood was drawn where the silver should have burned into him. My throat dried, feeling fear creep up my spine. Any point of alcohol I had in my system was gone. “What… are you?” “You don’t need to know that before I drink from you,” he mocked, backing me up until my back hit the wall. I knew how to kill vampires, even the weird ones, but they all reacted to silver at the very least. “You’re not going to kill me?” I whispered, looking up at him. “You’re too delicious to kill.” His head dipped, and he ran his nose up my neck, inhaling. The hair on my arms stood up. “Been watching you dance and get free drinks all night…” I swallowed, feeling so helpless. It was nighttime; no one would save me. Not even the Oracles in the area. “I couldn’t decide whether to eat you or fuck you.” I almost made a joke, but then I felt the sharpness of his fangs against my neck. A sharp gasp drew from me as I tried to push him away, but he was stronger, clinging to me. But the intense pain was quickly replaced with heat blazing in between my thighs. He further pressed me into the wall, drawing a moan from my throat. His cock was still hard, pressing into my hip, but that didn’t explain why I was getting turned on. My eyes closed as my breath hitched a bit. My hands gripped his shirt until my hand found his skin. He was cold, I expected that, but he responded to my touch, pulling back from his bite. “Never…” he breathed heavily in my ear. “Had this reaction…” I tilted my head back as he adjusted himself against me, so his rigid member was pressed against my stomach. My body felt light and drunk on lust more
