LIAM An indecent proposal TURNER BROTHERS 1 MAYA R. STONE ©All rights reserved SUMMARY How can she say no to the most erotic experience of her life? Liam Turner is the eldest of the Turner brothers. He’s an attractive, seductive millionaire, and Los Angeles' most eligible bachelor. Amelia is the sexy and shy waitress working at the fancy party his family is hosting. They met by chance, but she awakens his lust, and he will not stop until he has her at his mercy. In his bed. No romance. No happily ever after. All he has to offer is sex. He’s not looking for more than a one-night stand. Amelia dreams of becoming a fashion designer, but she struggles to support herself and her family. There is no place or time for dreams when you have no money and there are bills to pay. She meets Liam Turner on a horrible night at work, and he will make her the most indecent proposal. She is shocked, but... How can she resist the tide of feelings he provokes in her? So easy to think you have the world in your fist.” The loud, shrill voice of the marketing director brought Liam out of his distracted appreciation of the horizon. He nodded, almost as if by inertia. His eyes had been staring at the bright night without seeing it, ignoring the view of the buildings and avenues fully dressed in yellow and red lights. He was the owner of one of the highest buildings in the city, and that view was routinary for him, but not for his guests. “I hope you are enjoying this celebration,” he said politely. His voice denoted a friendliness he didn’t feel. Socializing bored him, like almost everything else lately. The enthusiasm he had felt at having a challenging project on his hands had been diluted by the closing of the contract they were celebrating tonight. The tedium had returned and enveloped him like a cold blanket. “Of course, I am. The party is a success. I appreciate the invitation so much!” “You deserve it, all of you. You did a remarkable job.” The hoarse voice, the slight smile of circumstance that did not reach his eyes, and the armed phrases, all showed a kindly coldness. There was an inevitable detachment in the treatment that the eldest of the Turner brothers lavished on his subordinates. The man who had interrupted Liam’s musings understood that those phrases would be all he could wring from the big boss tonight. It was a miracle that he hadn’t responded to him with monosyllables; it was not uncommon for their interactions to be limited to glances and grunts, or memos sent via email. Liam Turner was a parsimonious and blunt man, the CEO and one of the owners of a conglomerate of enterprises. A ruthless businessman, or so his competitors claim. A thriving millionaire, a capable leader, and a coveted bachelor were the adjectives newspapers and magazines used to describe him. Liam took a sip of his whiskey and let his gaze wander appreciatively around the penthouse of the tallest building in Downtown, Los Angeles. This was a meeting room, but tonight it worked as a reception room. The most important assets of his company, the most emblematic partners, as well as selected customers of his portfolio wandered around, laughed, and drank the most expensive liquors. A high pitched laughter rose above the crowd, and he looked at the woman who was obviously trying to get his attention. Melody. He sighed. His mother’s doing, once again. She was determined he had to marry, and she thought Melody was the ideal candidate for her firstborn. ‘You must get a wife and have kids. This will give you the family vision you need,’ she’d said. He raised one of the corners of his lips in disdain. To his frivolous mother, Melody Hunt was the ideal match for a man like him. The high-class doll was always dressed in flawless designer clothes and wore Louboutin and Jimmy Choo shoes. She hadn’t worked a single day in her life. She didn’t need to. She was old money, and her parents spoiled her. She wasn’t used to the word no. Liam let his eyes roam over the platinum-haired woman with appreciation. She wore a suggestive gown tonight. She was hot as fuck, of course. He decided he would fuck her mercilessly tonight, her six inches heels as her only attire. He would take advantage of the evident hunger in her eyes. She stared at him without any subtlety. Oh, no, there was none of that in Melody. Liam’s mother thought she was a proper upper-class woman, but the blonde liked sex and enjoyed it unabashedly. Anyway, she was no fool. She was also betting on commitment and a ring. She thought using her hot-as-sin body and being the daughter of one of Liam’s most important customers was the perfect bait. He had no intentions of proposing anything serious right now. Maybe in the future. He didn’t deny she could be the right one. A woman who knew how to behave around the rich and famous because she was one of them. One who knew the importance of a proper wife for a businessman. A pretty picture next to a successful man. A trophy wife. Getting married seemed the right thing to do, but he wouldn’t do it anytime soon or without further thought. The subtle touch on his arm startled him. He found his sister, Avery, when he looked to his side. He smiled at her openly. His little sister. Well, not so little anymore. She was one of the few people who managed to get his green eyes to perk up and warm. “Hello,
