Broken One Year Ago Laying on the horn, I motion for the biker behind the gate to hurry up and open it. “Come on, come on,” I mumble. I quickly glance in my rearview mirror and don’t see any sign that I’ve been followed. Breathing a sigh of relief, I start to relax for the first time in months. Of course, it’s short-lived when the biker slams his hand on the roof of my beat-up Corolla. The sound is deafening because of my condition, and I damn near jump out of my skin. Focus, Sierra. Focus. “Kierra? What are you doing in that piece of shit?” Of course, he sees my sister. We may be twins, but I am so sick of men confusing me for her. “I’m not Kierra, asshole! Barely sparing me a glance, the giant opens the clubhouse door and ushers me inside the dimly lit room. As my eyes adjust, I urgently search for my son. “Kierra,” I call out, spotting her on the opposite side of the room. My escort stops me from moving when an angry-looking biker steps in front of her. I don’t know why he thinks my sister would need protection from me. “What do you want, Sierra?” My relief vanishes at my sister’s hissed words. I know she’s pissed that I’ve been gone, but it wasn’t my fault. It took me weeks to get away. “You’re pregnant? What?
