A thing I’m naturally good at that granted me the opportunity to further my education, getting me one step closer to becoming something more than a kid from the wrong end of town. But when Betty Montoya walks into my life, my plans go to hell. I don’t care she’s off limits. Touching her could risk my diploma. But the monster she’s woken up inside me wants her. Needs her. Craves her. Is determined to have her. I seize every opportunity to become the man she depends on. She has no idea of my obsession and the lengths I would go to when it comes to her. I’d do anything to keep her happy and safe. Anything to make her mine. The only question is, who will protect her from me? Stalked by the Wide Receiver is an OTT, college sports romance with an obsessed virgin alpha who will stop at nothing to not only claim his girl but her heart. HEA Guaranteed and a double cherry-popping good time. PROLOGUE Hemingway ‘Hemi’ Castro “Done!” Crank Dominguez, a linebacker, patted my back as I dropped the weights. I stretched my neck. “Man, what is that now?” “Three fifty,” I grunted, stretching my back. My arms burned, and my body was so damn sore. Two workouts a day were killer, and for some goddamn reason, I’d added another. I knew why. I hate being alone. When you were used to having two roommates and suddenly, they both bit the bullet of love and were never around, it sucked. “Jesus, man!” He grinned as he went to take some of the weights off so he could do his reps. “You’re a monster!” He kept talking, but the doors to the gym opened, and girly laughter caught my attention. I turned, and my mouth felt like it dropped to the floor as I took in the sight of the group of girls who walked in. Cheerleaders. I’d met the whole squad in the past at different events and in classes throughout the years. No one had ever caught my attention. Ever. I wasn’t the kind of guy like my roommates and buddies before they’d found their significant others and had lost their ever-loving mind. I didn’t hook up. I didn’t have sex with randos. The honest truth was, I’d never had sex. Yup. I was a twenty-two-year-old wide receiver at a division one school who’d never had anything more than his hand. I was a virgin. I’d been driven. Laser-focused on getting a full ride with a football scholarship to pursue a career in criminal justice. I’d seen too many of my friends from back home knock up their high school sweethearts and in turn lose sight of what they had always wanted out of life. I hadn’t saved myself for some religious reason; I’d just never been interested. I’d almost thought of myself as possibly asexual. But as I watched the group of girls make their way toward the ellipticals, my mouth ran dry. My body tightened. I felt lightheaded. Almost as if I had been tackled by three men. Something inside of me felt like it had been woken up. Another part of me. A sleeping monster. Just at the sight of her. “Hem? You good, man?” Crank asked. I fought to tear my eyes off the curvy sweet thing who was currently about to hop onto an elliptical and looked at my teammate. “What?” I rasped, realizing how out of breath I was. Crank frowned and looked toward where I’d been staring. “Oh, man, don’t go there.” He shook his head, looking down at the ground before meeting my eyes. “Go where?” I tried to pretend I had no idea what he was talking about, but Crank knew me. We’d been buddies since freshman year. Coming from similar backgrounds, we’d hit it off. “You know where.” He laughed, shaking his head. “That’s not a cheerleader, man,” he enlightened me, low enough for my ears only. “Who is she?” I asked quietly. The monster inside of me stretched its neck, forcing me to look in her direction again. The sweet little brunette turned, and her oddly-colored eyes locked with mine for a split moment. My lungs seized in my chest, and it was like I couldn’t catch my breath. Mine. A monster inside me woke completely and growled, Mine. Two of the girls next to her said something, and I lost her eyes as they started talking and moving on the machines. Fuck. The loss of her gaze felt monumental. Mine. Mine. Mine. The monster started up. I had to clear my throat. The monster and I wanted her complete and utter attention. “Who is she, Crank?” I repeated impatiently. He shook his head and then shrugged. “She new?” “New to that group? Hell, yeah. New to school?
