This book nearly didn’t happen, but by sharing, reviewing, and never giving up on the series, you made it possible. BLURB * * * For fantasy romance fans obsessed with Sarah J. Maas, Holly Black, and Raven Kennedy. You’ll love this snarky, spicy enemies to lovers series. I was never supposed to love Kier Kollastus. I was supposed to kill him, return to the human lands, and live happily ever after as a legend. But fate has a sick sense of humour, and now I’m exiled from the enemy I love, and I have a fracture through my soul because my mate rejected me. As a human, there's no place for me in the goblin lands, but I can't leave. Tensions are building between Bluescale and Greenheart kingdoms, human rebels have been compelled into murder, and the whole plot hinges on Kier’s death. Everything seems to draw me back to him—the man who cast me out and made absolutely clear he didn’t want me. I already lost my heart, but if I’m not careful, being Kier’s wife could forfeit my life. 1 This was going to make a compelling chapter in my future bestselling memoir. After I found out my husband was my sister's murderer and he found out I'd tried to kill him, I did the only reasonable thing I could. I joined the circus. Well, not the circus, per se—the Troupe of Disaster, whose name spoke for itself. They were actors, and rebels, and little shits. I fit in well. If I ignored the gaping chasm in my chest, anyway. I found a way to accept you, to accept that you're my mate. I'm no such thing. Fuck Kier, and fuck that. There wasn't a way to undo a soulmate bond. I might not have known much about fate and magic, but I did know that. It was for life, and even hate couldn't undo it. And I did hate him with all my black, violent heart. I just hated that he also hated me. It was a conundrum. "Don't trail the point of the sword on the ground, you idiot," I muttered, stretching my legs out on the branch I sat on, watching two troupe members practise sword-fighting. They were hopeless. Honestly, I'd expected better from rebels who constantly provoked the wrath of Bluescale royals and pissed off literally every goblin in the Greenheart realm across the border. Ryvan, the player I'd met two months ago in Lazankh, turned to give me a sour look. He was just in a pissy mood because he was useless at swordplay and I was exceptional at everything. He looked different out of costume; instead of being dressed as the king, Kier's father, he wore brown trousers, boots, and a very low-cut white shirt that flashed his chest to anyone who looked at him for longer than a second. Brown hair fell over one eye in a rakish swoop, matching the smirk he wore when he wasn't one second away from throwing a tantrum because he was shit at combat. "I'd like to see you do better," he purred in a clear challenge. I raised an eyebrow. The man was delusional. "No, you wouldn't," Jakoda snapped as she bustled over. The seventy-something woman who kept the troupe organised and on track gave Ryvan a look, heavily suggesting he was mad. To be fair, he was. "She'd gut you in an instant." "You think a human can harm a goblin?" Hames—Ryvan's surly opponent—asked with uncalled for scepticism. The man was a gloomy bastard, and he reminded me of so many dangerous men from Seagrave, but this one was deep, deep blue and came with horns and claws. Same shitty attitude, same tobacco stench following him. "That human?" Jakoda replied in a biting tone, stabbing her clawed finger through the
