Taylor, the firm’s other partner, was missing from the meeting, as he was working on a contract for a sale of a property for a client. Alec had informed him about the meeting when he went to sit down in the chair after being ushered in by Alec’s secretary. I thought that was why you brought me in here and that you’d be happy to know everything’s sorted out—not this, you firing me,” Dominic said furiously as he leaned forward, gripping the arms of the chair firmly. “I am sorry, Dominic. This isn’t an easy decision for us. We are aware she recanted but the damage has been done to your reputation with the firm and Klein says he won’t do business with us as long as you work here. We can’t lose Klein and all his acquisitions and real estate businesses. And if he leaves, the rest of them will too.”
