There's a little kink, a dash of sex and a whole heap of girl x girl, so if any or all of that doesn't appeal to you, then this book might not be for you. However, if any of those sound intriguing to you, then come on in, and welcome to the Me series. ONE◆◆◆ “I’ll be back, heading to the bathroom.” I stated not waiting for anyone to answer. I threw on my hat, zipped up my hoodie and strode away.“Is she okay? Why isn’t she using the bathroom right here?”The freaking nosy rookie that just got placed on our team a few weeks ago asked ‘quietly’ behind me.“She doesn’t like to be around too many people for too long, so she goes for a walk after every game. Don’t worry about it.” Sanchez replied.“Too many people? We’re her teammates, how can we possibly be too much for her?” Stupid nosy rookie again. I was out the door before I heard the reply. What I want to do is tell her she’s annoying, like most of the people on this freaking planet. Doesn’t matter if you’re half good at volleyball. And that’s a stretch. She doesn’t take the time and put in the effort to be as good as our top players and me. She barely has the natural talent for it and thinks that’s enough. The coach will end up benching her after these practice games, if she doesn’t get it together.I weave my way through a crowd of people keeping my head down and a little hunched over. My height is kind of a giveaway and I hear someone ask me a question, but I ignore them and keep it moving. After a few minutes I’ve managed to walk down an empty hallway and see a women’s restroom about to come up to my left. I pray no one is in there as I push the door open and stride in running right into a smaller, softer body. I wrap my hands around her waist, yanking her into me and I steadied myself.I released her and stepped back.“Sorry.” I mumbled and went to step around her but her hand came out and pushed gently into my stomach.“Where’s the fire? Goodness, you almost knocked me over and can’t you at least look me in the eyes when you apologize?” She asked and I tilted my head up a little to look into her big brown eyes. Sheesh. Beautiful.A little short. Maybe 5’3-5’4. But most people were short to my 5’10. Slender waist, rounded hips. Mocha skin and big brown eyes, framed by long curly black lashes.“I’m sorry for bumping into you.”I looked back down. Her face came back into view as she came closer, so she was in my face.“Are you okay?” She asked and I brought my head up again so she could make eye contact with me.“Um, yes?”“Is that a question? I can help you if something is wrong.” She looked behind me and then looked back into my eyes.Did she think someone was chasing me?“I’m ok.”“Are you sure? You looked like you were running from something, or someone.” Her eyes never strayed from mine and it made me squirm a little.“No, I mean yes, I am ok. No one is chasing me or anything.” I answered and she continued to stare at me. Did she recognize me?“I just needed to get away from all those people. Just get a little breather.” I answered waiting for recognition to cross her pretty features and bombard me with questions.Understanding shone through her eyes and she nodded.“And a bathroom was your best bet?”She glanced at her watch and then looked back at me. Right in the eye. A tingle went up my spine. Having her eyes on me made me feel a little self-conscious yet pleased. Is she a domme?“There’s a restaurant called Vibe that has booth seats, that are each boxed in, if you need a break from people but don’t want to be trapped at home. You can even request computer ordering and a server will not be assigned to you. You can make your order and pay on the iPad at your table.”I’ve only been living here about a year and half, but I’ve heard of Vibe. When I signed on with this team and moved out here, that was one of the first places the girls told me about.“Yeah, I’ve heard of the place but I haven’t been able to get a reservation yet for night, and it’s always booked by time I get there after practice.”They have 'reservations only' starting at 6 pm until closing at 2 am and open at 11 am-530pm for walk ins only. By now, when practice is over at 3:30, they have a line of people and I couldn’t possibly get in.“Practice? Are you a professional volleyball player?”Shit. I didn’t even realize what I said. Now she’ll definitely figure it out.“Yes.” Was my answer. Her eyebrows rose but she said nothing.“I’m on the home team that just had our open practice game. Rebecca Bright.”Recognition finally hit her face. There it goes.“Ah, you’re the hotshot my sister has been raving about that won silver for outdoor volleyball in the last Olympics. Nice to meet you. I’m Nadja Blake. You have beautiful brown eyes.”She stuck out her hand and I gave her mine. Her shake was gentle but firm, and a little cool to the touch."Thank you." I mumbled in response."Do you
