While this is a low-angst (no miscommunication/fights between the MCs during their relationship), sweet & cute romance, this book contains discussion of homophobia, anxiety, symptoms of depression, and panic attacks. Similarly, this book is an MM Age Play/Age Regression romance between consenting adults, and includes light pet play/pup play and some spanking/impact play. There are also very brief mentions of other characters indulging in ABDL, but there are no scenes of that type in this novel. I am still a firm believer in not yucking someone else’s yum, so if these kinks aren’t for you, don’t read them. Life’s too short to read something you don’t enjoy. I’ve made adjustments to Chance’s initial reaction to seeing Kade, and to his thoughts on Emmett. He’s still flawed because he’s human, but I hope he’s more understandable now. His communication skills still suck, though. Cindy, you pinpointed one of the biggest issues I was having with the first draft and put it into words, which helped me shape this into something so much more enjoyable to read. You helped me make sure these boys kept the passion going. And Megan, your feedback helped me smooth out some of the concerns I had with the flow of the first draft. I added a scene between Kade and Don which I think bridges the gap for the tension and drama I was looking for, and it was talking to you which inspired that. Chapter One – Chance “So that’s a yes?” My long-time friend Charlie grins at me from across the gleaming countertop of the swanky new bar where we arranged to meet. Charlie has changed a lot in the last few years. Finding his Forever Boy, ending his career as a cop, and starting a safe haven community center for members of the BDSM/kink community have all played a part in that. He used to be far more serious, less jovial, but now he’s quicker to laugh and joke around. Not that he was a stick in the mud before, mind you, but he’s more easy going these days.
