It was like he wasn’t human, a dark guardian angel sent down to protect me. Instead of storming away like he did all those other times, he walked straight towards me, cupping my face in a punishing grip, his hands leaving bloody prints in their wake.I stared into his silver eyes, holding my breath, waiting for him to kill me, to get rid of the witness - except he didn’t.
