Copy and line editing by The Fiction Fix Proofreading by The Fiction Fix Book Cover Design by Jes Phillips Foreword This is a dark monster romance book for my people that like their romance spicy with monstrous creatures, light plot and plus size beauties. In this book, you will find pain play, dub-con, non-con (that the FMC enjoys), voyeurism, blood play, shadow penetration, shock play with magical powers, a tiny bit of degradation, praise, obsession. There will be murder, off screen torture (not MC's), mention of shitty foster family but does not go into detail, panic/anxiety attacks. Contents Dedication 1. Kidnapped Bride 2. Loving Betrayal 3. I’m Back, Bitches Afterword Also by Autumn Thorne About Author Dedication To the hotties that just want to be fucked shamelessly by a monster. You are my people. one Kidnapped Bride Poppy Church bells chime loud, echoing in the small room at the back of the church. I’m supposed to be out there, walking down the aisle to marry my childhood sweetheart. He’s the supposed love of my life, for fuck’s sake. I do love him - I think. Maybe not the way I used to, or what I read in romance books, but I love him in my own way. I don’t think I ever loved him the way authors describe, but that’s normal. This is real life. My heart doesn’t have to beat faster in his presence; I don’t need stomach flips. Lucas and I used to spend all our free time together, but now, he goes out with his friends all the time and I stay in. I’m kind of glad, honestly. It means I don’t have to make up excuses for not wanting to have sex, on the odd occasion he tries. We’re going through a stale spell - a stale spell that’s lasted for five years. I might not feel the same as I once did, but Lucas isn’t a bad guy; he can just be a little selfish sometimes. We met when we were fourteen; he’s the only man I’ve ever been with. Getting married is the logical next step.A little voice screams at me in my head, that I’m a liar, a coward. I try to drown it out, squeezing my eyes tight to try to block out the image of him, but it’s no use. His skeleton face haunts my dreams and disturbs my every waking moment. I was walking down the street, listening to a spicy audiobook, completely lost in my own world, when I was almost run over crossing the road. A powerful hand gripped my arm, pulling me back just in time. A couple more seconds, and I would’ve been roadkill. When I looked up to thank my saviour, I came face to face with a scary-looking man in fancy dress, face, hands, and neck painted like a skeleton, dressed in all black, a hood almost covering his face. Before I had time to thank him, he scowled at me and stomped away. If that was the only time I saw him, I probably wouldn’t remember him. Alas, it was only the first; he saved me from walking into a pond, rescued me from a purse-snatcher, pushed me out of the way of a metal pole at a building site. He turned up everywhere, at just the right time. It freaked me out, but I owe him my life. As I was walking home that night, I made the mistake of walking past a bar alone. I was followed, cornered, one drunk man on each side, their leader in front. I’m not sure what they were planning to do, and I’m glad I never got to find out. My skeleton stalker, my unlikely hero, materialised suddenly out of the shadows. He murdered them all, right in front of my eyes, ripping their spines out with just his hands. It was like he wasn’t human, a dark guardian angel sent down to protect me. Instead of storming away like he did all those other times, he walked straight towards me, cupping my face in a punishing grip, his hands leaving bloody prints in their wake.I stared into his silver eyes, holding my breath, waiting for him to kill me, to get rid of the witness - except he didn’t. He leaned in close, his lips brushing against mine, his breath caressing my face. I thought he was going to kiss me. God help me, I would have let him kiss me. Instead, all he did was speak one sentence – one that has stayed with me all this time. “If you’re not more careful, little unicorn, I will bend you over my knee and spank you until you die.” With those hot, terrifying, confusing words, he dropped his hands, leaving me breathless as he walked away. Just as he was about to disappear, I shouted, asking for his name. He stopped, his shoulders rigid, before he shot a glance over his shoulder. He muttered his name so low, I just barely caught it. I’ve thought
