Eve Epilogue: Eve Future Extinction Omegaverse Romances Also by Rhea Watson About the Author Extinction Omegaverse Extinction Omegaverse romances are set in a fictional world made up of an A/B/O social and biological hierarchy. Society consists of alphas (the elite), betas (the masses), and omegas (the most fertile). The only way to guarantee new alphas is through alpha x omega pairings. Omegas, however, can occasionally awaken from beta pairings. The world itself consists of hundreds of islands, with the largest being the Equinox Isles—once a massive continent, now split into lands of distinct seasonal climates and cultures—in the center. One century ago, the wars between humans and supernatural beings ended, with the latter losing and their populations dwindling over time, almost to the point of extinction. Today, islands have their own laws regarding shifters and other supernatural beings. Some are lenient, accepting of all kinds, but others are highly militant, making it illegal for shifters, warlocks, vampires, and so on to even set foot in their territory. The treatment of omegas, supernatural or otherwise, is very similar: some islands allow their omegas to get jobs and live ordinary lives, while others manage every facet of their existence until they are bonded to an alpha pack. One common myth shared across all islands is that omegas are direct descendants of (or, at the very least, blessed by) the life goddess Sabina. Some take the tales literally, placing omegas in temples and believing they have divine powers, but most consider it a fable to explain omega fertility. Legends also say that the fae once ruled over all the lands, but after rejecting mortality, they retreated to the top of the world, their mysterious magical kingdom shrouded in fog somewhere north of snowy Yule. * * * It is important to note that while many of these romances are set in dark, sometimes violent circumstances, the alpha MCs always treat their omegas like gold. I mean… Maybe not at first. Maybe they butt heads a little and need an omega spitfire to put them in their place. While Extinction Omegaverse may have villains and anti-heroes as MCs, I would not classify the series as dark. Rather, the books are paranormal and fantasy romances with dark elements. There’s definitely a difference. Rhea The Extinction Omegaverse world doesn’t have a map yet, but here’s a handy reference to help you visualize the layout! Originally, the world was a single continent. It split, however, into eight distinct islands. Those islands are named after the annual cycle of solstices, equinoxes, and the midpoints between. The climate and culture reflect the solstice each island is named after. The general layout of the world is similar to the wheel above, with Yule at the far north and Litha to the south. Each of the eight are considered “mainland” to their smaller neighboring islands and archipelagos, which all share some degree of climate and culture with it. For example: In Mistletoe Omega, the novella is set on Mistletoe Isle, which is Warning Some elements of this book may be triggering to certain readers.
