The poor man, bless his soul, exclaimed with an edge of fear that would chill anyone's spine, "Deadly beasts from another world crossing into ours doesn't exactly sound like a weekend picnic. No, not at all." Understanding the mortal fright etched on his face, I managed a comforting smile and tried to ease his worries, "My friends, they're somewhat detached from human sensitivities. They simply don't grasp the extent of havoc that these beastly hordes could wreak on this planet." I then shifted my attention back to the looming threat, a knot of worry tangling up in my own guts. "So what's the strategy here? How do we slam the doors shut on these so-called dungeons? Because if we don't, it's not going to be just a disaster, it's going to be an apocalypse of mythical proportions." But the response from Xaset was beyond mind-boggling. The creature stared at me like I'd suggested eradicating all food, "Why stop the dungeons from forming? They'd be a cornucopia of new resources. Forget farming when you can hunt mouthwatering monsters." As if discussing the color of the clouds, Soza joined in with a casual query, "Besides, isn't it already too late to stop them? How many of these blossoming dungeons have been counted so far?" Glancing at his phone as if it held the secrets of the universe, Paul responded, "There are hundreds dotting the northern landscape. And it won't be long before this dungeon bloom infestation spreads globally. They predict the numbers will skyrocket into thousands, considering the rampant rate of these blossoming menaces. Can't we nip them in the bud before they bloom into full-scale cataclysms?" All eyes, including those of the pale-faced detective, turned to me, expecting a decisive answer. Throwing my hands up, I confessed, "I'm as clueless about dungeonology as a cat about quantum physics. Salihn, do you think you can tackle this one?" Salihn nodded gravely, the weight of the situation dawning on her. She took command of the conversation, "Destroying dungeon blossoms isn't as simple as plucking a weed from a garden. But allow me to elucidate further, bearing in mind that my understanding of dungeons in this world is based on the rather large assumption that they function identically to those in our realm." Paul, who had now progressed from his phone to a notepad, chimed in, "That's a big if. But it seems to be our only lifeline." The fear that had earlier clouded his features seemed to have receded, replaced by a simmering determination to absorb all the knowledge he could. Checking to ensure that no curious eavesdroppers were within earshot, Salihn launched into an explanation that could've come straight out of a fantasy novel, "Think of dungeons as tendrils sprouting from an underworld realm. Much like a branch or a root extending from a tree to broaden its reach. I bet you're wondering what an underworld realm is?" Not surprisingly, Paul nodded, his pen poised over his notepad. Salihn continued, "Underworld realms are typically the stomping grounds of creatures known as demons. These demons derive their power from their interactions
