Snakes hissed and a thousand insect wings slid together, then stopped abruptly, the silence filling me with dread. A monster stood before me in my living room, staring at me. He—and it was definitely a he, considering the size of the giant pierced cock hanging between his thick thighs—towered over me from the shadows. Tendrils of darkness swirled around him, revealing patches of leathery skin and dark horns curling back from his forehead. “Are you a minotaur? Is there a fucking minotaur in my fucking living room?” I scrambled backward, tripping over my own two feet as I leapt off the couch. Muscular arms caught me, clutching me to his warm chest as shadows danced around us. “Easy there,” the monster said, his voice deep and rumbly as he stroked my back and pressed me close, his chest vibrating against mine. “You’re the one who summoned me.” “I what?” No way. I’d never summoned a monster in my life, and I certainly hadn’t done so that night. I pushed against the hard planes of his chest so I could look up at his face, with a square jaw, bright golden eyes, and a nose pierced in multiple places. Light caught on his earrings as his ears twitched with amusement. Seven hells, this was a miserable ending to a miserable day. “You appear to have summoned me, human.” Oh, damn. Grandma’s recipe. I’d dug out her grimoire after a shitty, shitty day at the office, hoping a cup of tea would make me feel better. So much had gone wrong. I’d spilled coffee all over my blouse. When my office mate yelled at me for taking a call while she was concentrating, I didn't defend myself. Instead of saying no when my boss waited until the end of the day to drop off a stack of files needed by the morning, I’d agreed to take on the extra work without complaint. It’d been an impossibly frustrating day. “All I did was make Grandma’s Feel Good Tea.” The deep rumble of his chuckle shot through me and made me ache in places that had no business aching while nestled in the embrace of a monster. Especially considering who I am. “Step away from him, Jessica Adamson,” a sharp voice intruded to my left, snapping me out of my daze. When I tried to step away, the minotaur tightened his grip, turning my shoulders so my back pressed to him. His hot length pressed tight against me, burning into my skin through my clothes. Inappropriate desire swept through me as he traced his hands over my pajama clad stomach. Standing before me, glowing in the evening light, was one of the most beautiful creatures I’d ever laid eyes on. His jaw was diamond sharp, his green eyes practically luminescent, and his ears—well, damn. “Fae?” I asked. He spit, offense clear in the stiffness of his body. “I’m the Adamson family elf, and I’m here to warn you, Jessica Adamson, that you are in grave danger.” Was he here to protect me from the minotaur? I leaned back into the monster’s warm embrace, and he tightened his arms around me. I peered upward, taking in the amusement in his eyes, the burning path of his fingers as they traced circles on my round stomach. If he’d wanted to kill me, I’d be dead already. “My name is Asterion,” the minotaur said, never letting up on the slow path of his fingers along my torso. “Robin, what are you doing here?” The elf sniffed, his green eyes flashing against umber skin and sharp cheekbones. “Asterion, Jessica Adamson’s living room is no place for you. Go back to wenching where you belong, in the seven hells.” “The Adamson woman is in no danger. That’s the curse talking, foolish elf. She summoned me. I intend to fulfill her request before returning to the spirit realm.” Asterion’s voice rumbled against my back, warm and protective. I furrowed my brow, still not understanding why Asterion was in my living room. “First of all, I didn’t mean to summon you. You’re free to go. Second of all, what request?” Asterion bent his head to nuzzle at the sensitive spot behind my ear, the heat of his breath sending desire rushing through me. “To make you feel good, baby.” I blinked, confused. “What?” Robin’s smile was sharp and angry. “He can’t go home until you climax, foolish Adamson. He has to make you feel really fucking good.” I blinked again. “I’m not sure I follow.” Asterion’s answering grin was toothy. “Let me show you.” With startling efficiency, he knocked my feet out from under me and lowered me to my couch. When he knelt on the ground before me, I stared at him with wide eyes, not entirely sure what he wanted. Robin laughed bitterly. “Are you really going to let him do this?” “Do what?” I breathed as Asterion nudged my knees apart and moved between them. “This,” Asterion answered with a wicked grin. Sharp claws popped from the tips of
