Groups LitRPG Book 1 Appendix YOU ARE LEVEL 1 The first thing Dallion saw after opening his eyes was the floor. The second was a blue glowing rectangle floating in the darkness. This doesn’t make sense, Dallion thought. The last thing he remembered was returning to his dorm and stumbling into bed. There had been a wild party—wilder than he would have liked—with lots of dancing, a bit of drinking, and a few really weird games. Dallion vaguely remembered climbing on a table with a pair of plush antlers while singing some song from the nineties. Thinking about it, maybe the going out was a mistake. Dallion should have refused, or at least had a bite to eat. Since this was his first day arriving at college, it was extremely difficult to refuse. It wasn’t that the party had been bad. From the fragments he could remember, Dallion was sure it had been great. The issue was that he had absolutely no memory of what happened between him falling off the table and the moment he arrived at his dorm. Maybe it’s all a dream? That would definitely explain a few things, mostly the flowing blue rectangle. Dallion closed his eyes, then slowly opened them again. The rectangle, now surrounded by an empty room. “Hello?” Dallion turned around. Rough gray stones were all about, covering walls, floor, and ceiling. There was no light source—with the exception of the blue rectangle—no furniture, no paintings, statues, or decorations of any type, not even a door. It was as if someone had dragged Dallion here and sealed off the entrance behind him. Am I in an escape room? Dallion step toward the center of the room. The moment he did, a message appeared within the rectangle. YOU ARE LEVEL 1 “Level one?” Dallion asked out loud. What’s a level one? On cue, the window spun around, revealing additional text instructions. You are in a small, dark room. Smash the window to choose your destiny! A sensible person would have taken a moment to think things through. As a visiting tech giant had once said, life was a series of carefully considered risk-reward situations. The more knowledge and information one had, the easier they would obtain great rewards for little risk. Dallion’s current situation, though unusual, was no different. Using his past life experience and picking up on any clues around him, Dallion had every chance of coming to the correct conclusion. Unfortunately, Dallion wasn’t a sensible person. Without a moment’s thought, he took
