Created with Vellum BLURB Being an assassin could be lonely at times. To pass the time, I did three things: talked to myself, created chemical formulas to use on marks, and watched my favorite medical drama. Oh, and yeah, that other thing where I healthily stalked my favorite thief group. That was a thing, right? Favorite thief groups? If it wasn’t, it should be. Everything about the Loxley Crew sent my heart into a flutter. They stole from the rich and gave to the poor, like a modern day Robin Hood. I caught sightings of them at times before or after a job, but we never ran into one another while working. Not that I’d know what to say if I did. Awkward girl alert. My current mission included three names—the last of a corrupt pharmaceutical company that I had a score to settle with. It should’ve been a piece of cake. Mmm, cake. Except, nothing was simple when murder was involved and I stumbled into the Loxley Crew—all four of them. Now that they’d found me, they insisted on following me, and making my once hollow heart full. But assassins didn’t get happy endings. This is a standalone multi-love interest book with violence and explicit scenes and ends in a HEA. Check the foreward for more information to decide if this book is the right fit for you. FOREWORD This book is about assassins, and therefore does contain some violence. Raven's method of killing is medical (death by embolism). The main characters have all experienced traumatic pasts that deal with drug abuse, physical abuse, emotional abuse, sexual abuse, and murder of loved ones. This mostly takes place off screen with just a few recollections. That being said, this book is more gray than dark, with loving and obsessive men who love to dote on their girl. It's a med-high burn with love at first sight. There are explicit sexual scenes and language. This book does not have other women drama or cheating. It’s low angst with the love interests and ends in a HEA. TRIGGERS Death Violence Past abuse (sexual, physical, emotional, substance) Witnessing death/murder Medical conditions (seizures) TROPES Identical Twins Female Assassin Thief group (Robin Hood-esque) Obsessive men Doting caring men on female (feeding, carrying, brushing hair) Curvy FMC who likes to eat and embraces her body Smart FMC True love match THINGS YOU’LL FIND Sensory play All the guys have tattoos Size differences Men comfortable with each other both in affection and in the bedroom, but no sword crossing Dirty Talk Toys Anal sex Group Scenes “It will fit” Praise “good girl/good boy” Female switch Twin sandwich “You’ll break first” bet Road head To being accepted and cherished for all the parts of you from the awkward flirt, kind heart, to the darkness. To being able to take care of yourself and handle your business, but also enjoy being pampered and loved on by a group of men who think you hung the moon. To discovering your sexual desire in a safe relationship and not being afraid to learn and experiment, or ask for what you need. To first loves and friends who never give up. Now go and eat that piece of cake and then sit on a face afterward—you deserve both the cake and the orgasm without shame. RAVEN TWENTY YEARS AGO My feet slapped against the pavement as I ran, my worn and battered shoes doing nothing to keep the cold from seeping up my legs. My breath fanned out in front of me in the cold night air; my running was the only thing keeping me warm. I zoomed past darkened doorsteps and storefronts as I raced to my hiding spot, knowing the way by heart. This area of town didn’t have a single streetlight to assist me in my escape as I blended with the shadows. The shadows were my friends, hiding me away from the bad people. All the scary stuff happened in the daylight. That was when I was truly afraid. Taking the last corner, I fought the urge to glance back, too scared they’d be right on me. No, it was better to pretend I was safe. Ducking beneath the tarp covering my hiding spot, I stopped and listened for the sound of footfalls. When I heard nothing, I peeked out, exhaling when it was clear. I’d rather risk capture here than lead them to our spot. Crawling the rest of the way, I ducked under the stacks of boxes and railings before climbing the ladder to the attic in the old theater. It was filled with mannequins, outdated costumes, and set designs. I hadn’t known what they were, but Otto did, and he’d told me how they were used to
