 Grant and Emily quietly sat in the waiting room for their weekly couple’s therapy session. Scrolling through digital garbage on their phones, they barely acknowledged the other was there. While the two were happy, they had developed a habit over the past decade of avoiding topics that could cause a fight. Their therapy sessions forced them to talk through those topics they had avoided throughout the week.
 
 
 “Come in,” Dr. Rossi said with a smile. 
 
 
 They had selected Dr. Rossi as their therapist because he had a friendly grandfather look, and both felt comfortable talking with him. 
 
 
 “How are you this week?” Dr. Rossi asked.
 
 
 Grant and Emily replied in unison, “Good, you?”
 
 
 The three continued to exchange pleasantries and their usual weekly updates. Dr. Rossi enjoyed his sessions with Grant and Emily; they were different than his typical patients. Most of his days were occupied by entitled, whiny millennials unable to cope with day-to-day life and the occasional stay-at-home mom venting about her husband and kids. 
 
 
 Unlike his other patients, Dr. Rossi was able to relate to Grant and Emily. He saw a younger version of his wife and himself in them. The parallels were uncanny—Emily in her early forties and Grant six years younger, still enjoying his mid-thirties, an age gap Dr. Rossi shared with his wife. Continuing the parallel with the doctor, Emily and Grant were successful professionals with busy lives, and instead of kids, they had a dog, Stella, who was the center of their attention. 
 
 
 There was one topic in these sessions that Grant was always eager to discuss but never got touched on, and that was their nearly non-existent sex life. Every time Grant or Dr. Rossi tried to breach the subject, Emily found a way to change it. Having been raised by a devout Catholic mother, Emily didn’t like discussing sex. Today, however, Dr. Rossi had a plan. 
 
 
 “I know you’re both busy with work and your day-to-day lives, but I had a thought about your unique position. You’re young, you’re successful, and you don’t have kids to worry about or arrange your schedules around. You have a lot of freedom.”
 
 
 After a short pause to allow his words to sink in, Dr. Rossi continued.
 
 
 “My wife and I got caught up in our work and day-to-day lives around your age. We were happy, but the intimacy in our relationship suffered. We knew we needed to find a way to connect and break the routine.”
 
 
 Instantly, Emily began to squirm and got an agitated look on her face. A look both Grant and Dr. Rossi knew was Emily gearing up for an argument. 
 
 
 Grant, on the other hand, was intrigued. “What did you do, Dr. Rossi?” he asked.
 
 
 “We traveled regularly,” he replied. “Several times a year, in fact. By making a point of spending that time together and exploring, it brought us closer.” 
 
 
 Emily’s agitated look had subsided and was now a look of intrigue.
 
 
 “Give it some thought,” Dr. Rossi added. 
 
 
 “Is there anything specific we should do on these trips?” Emily asked.
 
 
 “Nothing specific. Just explore, try something new, push your comfort zone,” Dr. Rossi replied.
 
 
 After their session, as they walked to the car, Emily spoke up first. “So, where should we go first?” she asked.
 
 
 Stunned that he didn’t have to prompt her, Grant responded, “I’m itching to get back to Vegas, but I’m good with whatever.” 
 
 
 Grant loved Las Vegas. Ever since his first visit for his bachelor party, he had been hooked. Hooked between the gambling, scantily dressed women, and the wishful dreams of what could happen in Vegas. 
 
 
 After a moment of silence, Emily replied, “Ok, let’s do it.”
 
 
 Over the next few weeks, they began making plans for their trip. Grant could barely control his excitement. Emily quickly remembered what a deviant
