With a sigh of irritation, I let my head drop back against the headboard with a thump. It didn’t hurt, but I almost wished it would — anything to distract me from the wanna-be porn star in the next room. I didn’t say shit, yet he still knew it was me. They always fucking know. Kitchen or living room, I debate as I run down the stairs. Before I reach the bottom, I’m hit by the smell of something delicious, and I stop dead. I’d skipped breakfast this morning. Instead, starting my Sunday with the homework I’d put off all weekend. Flying down the last few steps, I whip around the corner, before running down the hall, and into the kitchen. I know I’ll find Storm there even before I see him. Nobody else cooks like Storm does. Don’t get me wrong, we can all make basic shit, but Storm’s food is restaurant worthy. My mouth waters just from the thought. Storm’s back is to me as I enter the kitchen, and he works on something at the stove. I force myself to slow down so he won’t hear me as easily as I creep forward. Being light on my feet has always been something I’ve found a way to have fun with. No matter how annoying my slight form might be, one of my favorite past times is using it to fuck with the guys. I stop by the counter less than six feet from him. It’s an easy distance to clear. I just need to wait for him to be in front of me. Neither of the twins can stay still for very long, no matter what they’re doing, and hot shit on the stove won’t stop Storm from moving around, eventually. Not even thirty seconds later, he shifts. It’s not a lot, but I now have a clear shot at him. As I said, he just can’t help it. The moment he’s in front of me, I pounce, well, jump, I guess. Storm and Sol are the ones who do the pouncing, given they’re cat shifters, but you get it. I hit his back hard, and while he doesn’t seem to be phased, it damn near takes the air out of my lungs. Why the hell are muscles so damn hard? I gasp in a breath and force out a victory cry for successfully sneaking up on him. A low growl sounds from him in response, and I can feel it rattle in his chest and back as I cling to him. “Awe, don’t be a sore loser, Stormy.” I tease, leaning forward over his shoulder to get a look at his face.
