Being voted to manage a new business for the club was a surprise, but a welcome one. Being a sniper, my forte is weapons and being a manager to a shooting range is right up my street. Something I can finally get my teeth into. I love the club and the brothers, but I was feeling like I was floating with no real purpose of late. I’ve stepped up when needed, and will always do that, but to be waiting around for things to happen so I have a use hasn’t been sitting well. Chaos lives in an apartment with me. We have a room at the clubhouse but rarely use it. I like to step away from the noise that is constantly happening, especially with Meat and Wings at the clubhouse. Two crazier men I don’t think I’ve ever met, but two that are loyal to the bone, and I would always be happy to have them at my back. Wings and Chaos are working with me at the shooting range once it’s open. First, we have to get the renovation done, and believe me, turning a bowling alley into a shooting range will not be easy or cheap. The purchase of the bowling alley went through smoothly, and we were able to knock down the price significantly because of the time it had been for sale. It’s going to be perfect, as unexpectedly, it has a huge parcel of land behind it where I can keep my sniper skills honed. The place has an apartment upstairs, which needs modernizing and, if I get my way, opened up to one enormous apartment rather than one apartment and all the rooms that were used as offices. Today is the first of the planning meetings with Hammer, and as he’s been stretched trying to get the wine shop finished, we’ve had to be patient, but he’s passed on the work for Ruger to complete. Walking into the clubhouse, I head for Hammer’s office, which is next to BS and the medical room Stitch runs. Approaching, I hear voices and smile when I hear Wings discussing the renovation with Hammer. “You know you’ve no experience with running shit!” I state as I enter the room, and grin at Wings, who folds his arms across his chest and giving me a nasty look. “Fuck off, I’m gonna help whether you like it or not, asshole.” Wings snips back at me, but I can see the mischief in his eyes. He knows I’ll always welcome his help and this banter we have is something we did when on duty to keep us all mentally going when the shit was bad. Hammer shakes his head at us, but he’s used to hearing it, so he ignores us and continues looking at a set of blueprints in front of him on the table. “Sit down and listen. I’ve got the blueprints for the bowling alley, and another copy that PT got printed for me. That way, we can use the dimensions to get exactly what you want. Sit your asses DOWN and get serious.” Hammer states showing us he’s not fucking about this morning. Taking a seat, my eyes scan over the plans Hammer has inked over on the copy of the original blueprints. The dimensions of the pistol lanes look right, 10 lanes at 50’. The 5 rifle lanes at 75’, that will complete the indoor lanes. Pointing to the back of the 50’ lanes, I lift a questioning eyebrow at Hammer. “That’s the bullet trap area.”
