Wilde About the Author Being shunned by vampires is one thing. Being eaten by them is another. Is rare shifter Jeremy about to be added to the menu? Taking a train to a gorgeous ski resort in the Swiss Alps seems like a relaxing way for Jeremy to spend his holidays. However, when he spots a hot vampire on the platform who appears as if he’s devouring him with his eyes, Jeremy isn’t sure if the undead creature wants to bed or drink him. Marcel finds himself captivated by a beautiful young man about to board his train. What truly puzzles him is how drawn he is to this mysterious creature. What could this man be? Regardless, Marcel must find out before his clanmates tear him apart. When Jeremy is discovered by the vampire he’s been hiding from, he’s shocked by what the alluring Marcel declares about their connection. Is it possible the vampire wants more than a quick bite? But before Jeremy has the chance to decide if he should trust Marcel, disaster strikes. Will Marcel save Jeremy? Or will their romance be over before it starts? Chapter One Standing on the platform at the Paris train station, Marcel checked his watch with a sigh. Sven, his closest friend and traveling companion, was late. The rest of the Vorigan clan had already arrived and boarded after their familiar verified it was safe to do so. Channing had hung the blackout curtains in the last two cars they occupied, checked that their stores of blood were secured and the crew understood they were not to be disturbed. If Sven missed the regional train to Geneva, he’d be stuck. He’d have to find a way to safely go to ground then wait to catch another train tomorrow night. Traveling as a vampire clan in the modern age was such a pain in the ass. "Is there anything else I can help you with, sir?" Marcel regarded the porter and responded in French. “No, thank you.” He handed the man twenty euros. “If you’re still available when my rather late friend arrives, I’m sure he'll be in need of your services.” The porter's eyes widened at the amount Marcel handed him. Marcel had discovered it was best to be generous when dealing with humans. They were more likely to look the other way when odd occurrences unfolded around them. "Thank you for your kindness, sir. But I'm afraid the last call for boarding will be any moment.” Marcel retrieved his wallet again from the inside pocket of his long, wool topcoat. He fished out twice as many bills as he had before and shoved them into the porter’s palm. “Perhaps there’s a reason why the train might not be leaving on time?” The porter licked his lips as he unfolded the bills. He cleared his throat. “How long do you imagine the train might be delayed?” Marcel grunted. “I don’t think I can afford more than ten minutes.” He arched his eyebrows. “What say you?” The porter straightened as a look of determination flashed across his face. “Yes, sir. I’ll inform the conductor at once that something has been spotted on the tracks up ahead and it will take at least ten minutes to clear.” Marcel gave him a slight nod. “Very good.” The porter scurried off and Marcel pursed his lips. Sven owed him for this. The clan had already hinted they might not invite him on future ski trips if he couldn’t be responsible. Sven had only been a vamp for twenty years—a true baby—and still held onto a lot of the bad habits exhibited by modern humans. However, Marcel enjoyed his company much more than the Ancient Ones. Marcel had been the baby before Sven’s maker, Artemis, turned him. The Victorian age was the era Marcel hailed from: a repressive, boring and stuffy time in history that he was so thankful to have moved past. Once the nineteen twenties arrived, he’d found the undead life to be much more entertaining. A ruckus caught his attention as a young man—a quite delectable young man—stumbled onto the platform, hoisting his large backpack onto one shoulder. He glanced around frantically, then regarded the train ticket he clutched in his hand. He bit his lower lip and Marcel’s cock twitched in interest. Hmm… Marcel narrowed his eyes as he examined this creature who’d had such an immediate effect on him. What was it about him? Handsome, yes. Masculine, yet young and seemingly lost in the world. Marcel’s gaze traveled up and down the man’s form. He sensed if he were to peel off the thick, blue parka and yank down those tight jeans, he’d discover a body he could use as
