Character List Red – Red is a wolf shifter omega Brodie – Is a human and a healer (A doctor who knows how to take care of all the different paranormal beings) Lello / Yellow – Is a Kelpie, a shape shifting water horse from Scotland. Ned / Indigo – Is a young vampire. If he hadn't been turned in his twenties he would be 98 years old. Blue – Is a siren. He is not allowed to talk or sing encase he enchants everyone with his voice. Gray – Is a type of demon called an Incubus, he feeds on sex, but he has been imprisoned for so long he no longer enjoys it. Pink – Is a vessel, a human who absorbs magic from the world around them, but cannot wield it. Vessels need to be emptied of the magic they have accumulated by having sex with a mage. Jade – Is part fey. The fey realm used to be close to the human one, enabling fey to cross over, but the realms drifted apart and it is no longer possible to cross over. A sect called Revivalist search for humans with strong fey ancestry and breed them in an attempt to strengthen the bloodline. Chapter one Brodie I’ve only reached the lobby and I’m feeling out of my depth. It’s a veritable sea of white marble. A floor that stretches out forever to create a vast empty space of sheer opulence lined by giant windows. There is more wealth in the lobby of this skyscraper than I will ever have in my lifetime. By the magnitude of a few thousand. My mind is struggling to comprehend it. This is the very center of London, where every inch of land comes with a price tag that includes more zeros than I’ve had hot dinners. Trying to grasp the sheer amount of wealth that I am looking at, is blowing my mind. And this is just the entrance. I’m headed for the penthouse. Thirty floors of luxury apartments belonging to Saudi princes, Russian Oligarchs and Chinese tech firm owners and above them all, figuratively and literally, the penthouse of Richard Smithson. Billionaire and fourth richest man on the planet. Beaten only by Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk. I’ve never felt more daunted in my life. I’m I really up to the task? Do I have what it takes? Right now, I’m not sure that I do. Sounds of shouting catch my attention and distract me from my doubts. The noise is coming from what looks like the discreet door to what I guess is the stairwell. There is no part of my nature that will let me ignore whatever is going on, so I make my way over. To my surprise, the stairwell is nearly as lavish as the lobby. I’d been expecting bare concrete. Surely the residents never use the stairs? They must use the gaudy glass and gold lifts? Stairs in fancy buildings are usually only for staff and deliveries. My musing is disrupted by the clatter of running feet. Many pairs of feet, all running down the stairs towards me. Gruff voices, sounding very out of breath bellow “Stop!” This is the shouting I heard. I glance up, just in time to see someone vault the railings and drop straight down to where I am standing. What the hell are they thinking? That is far too high to jump from. I step forward and catch them in my arms. They land with a force that
