I was sitting in this stank ass hospital room with tears flowing down my face as I watched him struggle to breathe. The many tubes that were connected to his body scared me. My heart was physically hurting watching him fight. I prayed hard every day and night that God would take his pain and allow me to trade places with him. I loved him so much and hated myself for not being able to protect him. Boom! Boom! Boom! Shots started coming from everywhere, as I ran in the direction of Reckless and my son, I was screaming, crying, and begging for him to put my son down. I watched with eyes as wide as saucers filled with horror as Prince fell from his arms and landed on the ground. It sounded like his little body burst as hard as he hit the concrete. Before I could make it to him, I felt a burning sensation in my leg and went tumbling down too. Needing to get to my son, I got on all fours and crawled to him, tears still pouring down my face as loud sobs escaped my mouth. Prince was covered with blood, and it continued to pour from somewhere. “Help! Call 911! My son isn’t breathing and he’s bleeding to death.” I screamed and cried over and over while rocking his little body back and forth in my arms. I could hear the sirens in the distance, but the sound was faint as though, I couldn’t see, hear, or feel anything at the moment. Snapping from my thoughts, I wiped my face and sat up on the side of the bed. Reaching for my crutches, I grabbed them and took the few steps toward Prince’s hospital crib. I hated seeing my fucking baby look like this, but I thanked God he was still alive. It’s been two weeks since the fatal shooting and today, the doctors were gonna remove all these tubes from his face. They said his o2 stats were back to normal, and his blood pressure and his heart rate were also normal. I didn’t understand a lot of the shit they said to me, but I was writing down everything they said and getting my ass on Google to find out what this stuff meant.
