This book has been on my mind for years and one I kept putting off and putting off, not knowing if I was ready to write it or not. This isn’t an easy read, and it certainly wasn’t easy to write. You see, reality is hard and sometimes ugly, so I typically keep my stories on the lighter side. If I’m escaping into a book, I want everyone to be happy and in love and to have very little conflict keeping them from their HEA. But the stories like this one, the stories where two people struggle and battle together through tragedies and all the terrible things, these stories are important and real and necessary. I feel like I’ve wanted to write this story forever. This is a love story. It’s messy complicated and kind of ugly sometimes. It’s also made of magical things like forehead kisses. It’s our tragedy.
